Better Air Jordan 13: “Melo” or “Hyper Royal”

While the original colorways will always receive the most love, there are a few non-original releases of the Air Jordan 13 that have gain popularity in the sneaker community.

Released in September 2018, the Air Jordan 13 “Melo Class of 2002” celebrate Carmelo Anthony’s high school alma mater, Oak Hill Academy. The shoe comes built with a mix of leather, nylon and suede details, it also contains personal Melo touches, including “Class of 2002” on the right insole and the Melo logo on the right insole.

Released in December 2020, the Air Jordan 13 “Hyper Royal” features a two-tone design reminiscent of Quentin Richardson’s Orlando Magic PE from 2012. The shoe features a combination of Black leather, Royal Blue suede, and 3M reflective mesh overlays. Additional details includes the signature holographic eye and a Blue Jumpman logo embroidered on the tongue atop the distinctive cat’s paw outsole.
